Anh on connecting the dots
I believe most challenges can be tackled the same, whether you’re a man or woman.
For example, if others in a meeting are agreeing with what a counterpart—male or female—that is saying the same thing I was saying, I would probably just think that they said it in a better way.
This allows me to learn and move forward.
As my favorite mentor might say, “If not you, then who?”
These bold statements have helped me build my confidence over time. My mentors have illuminated the dots for me, but they let me connect those dots. I hope I can mentor others that look up to me in this way: lead the horse to water, but let the horse decide if it’s thirsty and ready to drink.
