Megan on teaching to learn
As a single mom, my mother raised three daughters to be strong, independent, and resilient. She was fierce in making certain we were loved and had everything we needed. She taught us that women can do anything, from fixing anything around the house to working in any industry.
I want women to have confidence in what they do, and realize that, yes, they deserve to be brought into projects even when they aren’t an expert in that arena.
I have always found that if you want to fully grasp a subject, teach it. However, I think it is important to expand on that knowledge, and not only focus on the same subject time and again. I have seen team dynamics change for the positive when subjects are taught by different team members whenever someone new joins.
